This shelter is managed by the Southern Hope Humane Society, a nonprofit 501c3 organization.Fulton County Animal Services, managed by the Southern Hope Humane Society, provides animal care and control to unincorporated Fulton County and the cities of Atlanta, Alpharetta, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Palmetto, Roswell, Sandy Springs and Union City. Our organization serves as the "animal cops" in these areas and investigates cruelty and neglect, picks up stray or lost animals, assists the police removing animals from crime scenes and much more. In addition, we shelter and care for approximately 400 animals at any given time at our shelter on Marietta Boulevard.
How you can help Fulton County Animal Services and the Southern Hope Humane Society:
- Keep ID tags on your pets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so we can call you if we find one of your lost pets.
- Microchip your pets in case their collar and tags come off.
- Spay and neuter all of your pets. Leave breeding to the professionals who "show" their pets and belong to breed clubs.
- Obey leash laws and do not let your pets roam. Keep your dog in a fenced yard or on a leash.
- Adopt a homeless pet from Fulton County Animal Services.
- Volunteer with Fulton County Animal Services.
- Spread the word about the importance of pet ID, spay/neuter and adopting from FCAS.
- Donate money or supplies to FCAS.
